RECOMMENDED: It is suggested that students take OSHA 521 OSHA Guide to Industrial Hygiene if you have little or no background in IH. Course Description: Ventilation is the planned supply and removal of air from workplaces for the purpose of achieving healthful air quality and acceptable concentrations of air contaminants.  This course identifies key factors in design and testing of mechanical and natural ventilation systems.  History, standards, regulations and guidelines, test methods and equipment are emphasized.  Laboratory demonstrations and the ACGIH textbook Industrial Ventilation: A Manual of Recommended Practice for Design are included. Please bring a basic calculator.
