When registering for an update course, include a front and back copy of your current trainer card with the registration form. In addition, each applicant for a trainer update must send complete and return the  502PrerequisiteForm NOTICE: As part of its continuing effort to improve the Outreach Training Program, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration  (OSHA) has eliminated the authorized trainer “90-day grace period” described in Sections III.B.1.,2, and 4 of the OSHA Outreach Training Program Requirements. This change is included in the 2019 published revisions of the OSHA Outreach Training Program Requirements and applicable sections of each Industry Procedures document, and became effective January 1, 2019. Construction Outreach Trainers who do not successfully complete OSHA #502 Update Course for Construction Outreach Trainers prior to their expiration date, will need to begin the process again, completing a Prerequisite Verification Form and retaking the OSHA #500 Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for Construction. (If the prerequisite OSHA #510 OSHA Standards for Construction is older than seven years, that will also need to be retaken.)
